Sustainability Labeling System

Category: Environment

sustainabilitys.jpgTo come: Have you ever been frustrated by misleading labeling stating that a product is recycled, when it really isn't? Or have you ever wondered why labels like "Free trade coffe" can't be expanded to cover more areas?

What might help is a unified system, a systainability index if you will, that rates products on a multitude of levels, reports on all of them, and gives an overall grade. Nathan Shedroff has designed an especially neat prototype for just such a solution.

The design is brilliant, check it out.

I guess you deleted my comments. I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just pointing out that the numbers mean something very different to other people.

Or, maybe that is the point of my comments being deleted?

A great idea. Of course we need to go to all the corporations and ask them permission before we decide on anything. We wouldn't want to make them angry over in corporate headquarters.
