My Own Bag

San Francisco: It's hard to work up the discipline to bring your own bag to the grocery, but for small trips, anyone can agree it's emminently sensible. Even if you're not concerned about the environment, who wants yet another plastic bag clogging up the trash?

My Own Bag is a fantastic, surprisingly large bag which folds into a tiny case you'll barely notice. It won't do for major expeditions, but for the average quick stop-off at the store, it's more than perfect.

Reusablebags.com also has some great bags, in a variety of sizes and compactness, including produce and sandwich bags. Personally, I have three canvas bags that I use (when I can remember, which is usually) when going to the store, which easily covers most of what I need for weekly shopping trips.
