Munich: Well, this particular building is not the most attractive grass-roofed structure I've ever seen, but I thought it was a nifty because of how it imbeds itself in the earth, hobbit-like. This kind of building not only let's the roof be used for other purposes, like parkland, but it is supposed to reduce heating and cooling costs as well.
In Door County, Wisconsin, there is a famous Swedish restaurant with a grass roof complete with a herd of goats. Beats mowing the lawn!

can anyone help with plans for grass roof/semi underground buildings
I am looking for the build up of materials for a grass roof on garage. I have started with a wooden decking on roof joists, followed by roofing felt. Am I now looking for a water retaining felt, and if so can you recommend one? Is it true that the turf has to be 80mm thick to survive on top of a roof? Will I have to spray it with growth inhibitor? Can you recommend a slow growing variety of grass?

And a seedum blanket is about 70-80mm deep. And the use of a sedum will mean no cutting and in turn no growth inhibitor.

My gram has a concrete roof covered with grass, but it keeps leaking. What is the cheapest way to seal it?
P.S. It isn't a perfect square.
I am looking for someone who sells palm tree frond roofing?
