Channel Tunnel Rail Link

London: The last stage in bringing the Eurostar to it's full potential will be bringing it to Kings Cross/St. Pancras station instead of it's current terminus at Waterloo. Apparently, this will shave at least 40 minutes of the London-Paris Journey, and equally importantly, will do wonders for the neighborhood. If you have an extra million lying around, I highly recommend buying property in the area. It's going to be a textbook example of magnificent urban renewal and shows how such things can be catalyzed by transportation projects.

When complete, residents of the area will have high speed links to 3 major airports, and a 2 1/2 hour train to Paris within walking distance. [more info here]

Any truth to the rumor that the Eastern end of the Chunnel is going to be changed to Spain?

It might be the last stage for Londoners. But we were going to have a terminal in Manchester. As usual that was the first to be dropped.
