Ripoff ATMs...

Category: Wildcard

atm.jpeThe Bank: This has nothing to do with sustainability, but sometimes I have to vent. I typically take $120 out when I visit ATMs that are not owned by my bank. The reason is that it minimizes the loss I take for paying the ATM fee. The other night the ATM ran out of money but still gave me $20 along with a note applogizing for not being able to give me the rest. It still charged me $1.95 though - a nearly 10% loss on my transaction.

Why can't an ATM warn you in advance if they are unable to give you the amount requested? Bah humbug.
