Golden Gate Bridge Bicycle and Walking Toll

San Francsico: I realize everyone's strapped for cash these days, but the latest proposal to charge bicyclists and pedestrians $1 to cross the Golden Gate Bridge is just plain obnoxious.

Every effort should be made to encourage more commuting by bicycle, not make it more difficult. The last time this proposal was placed on the table, more than 3,000 angry letters stopped it dead in it's tracks. It may be time once again to write the Bridge district.
