BART to SFO starts June 22

San Francisco: Now taking bets as to whether this will actually happen, but a date has finally been announced for the BART extension to San Francisco Airport: June 22. Thank god.
Unfortunately, only one train out of four will actually stop at the airport, but still, a world free from $40 cab rides and surly supershuttle drivers awaits!

Any idea whether there is any truth in the suggestion that the reason it took so long to build a decent rail link to London Heathrow was because of the profits BAA were making on car parking?

Hmm... I'll have to do some research on that one! Not a clue.

As of August 22nd, the BART into SFO was running and operating with amazing efficiency. Best billion dollars the taxpayers ever spent!
